Ever since the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Düsseldorf in 2011, the Wuppertal event and communication specialist Riedel and Pe2M from Ratingen have been working together and supplying XXL accreditations with an integrated RFID chip for the ESC. This year, Guest One from Wuppertal joined as the third party and provided the interface to the turnstiles and the integration of a Covid test system in Turin, among other things.
The approximately 12,500 active people who make the world’s largest music competition possible were provided with professional ID cards for secure access and processes over a period of around 10 weeks. There were also 2,000 special stickers, e.g. for the Opening Ceremony & Red Carpet, as well as 300 accreditation wristbands, e.g. for VIP hospitality.
Around 200 million viewers worldwide follow the event live on television. The fact that Germany took last place for the 9th time is now something we take for granted and we still enjoy this top-class mega show.
Whether it’s a sporting event, festival or congress: Riedel, Pe2M and GuestOne support organizers internationally in their organizational and technical challenges with modern, tailor-made ID, accreditation and communication systems.
